The Basics: Super Haters is a superhero satire comic strip starring Destruct-O-Tron and Mind's Eye. They're two super-slackers who suck at pretty much everything.
The History: I created Super Haters as a weekly, three-panel webcomic on June 25, 2009 at AudioShocker.com. It ran that way until the comic went on hiatus in July 2010. But it returned like a phoenix when SuperHaters.com launched on December 1, 2010 and reran the old strips until new content began on February 2, 2011.
But the daily cut-and-paste era of Super Haters ended on November 30, 2012. Moving into 2013 and beyond, the webcomic will live on as a series of short stories starring Destruct-O-Tron and Mind's Eye, as written by myself and Justique Woolridge and drawn by some positively incredible guest artists!
The Old Way: When Super Haters was a daily cut-and-paste webcomic, I drew all of the goofy-looking character art that got used over and over again. I co-wrote most of those comics with the help of my brilliant girlfriend, Justique Woolridge.
Any of the strips that used repeating character art were in continuity, meaning there was an overarching story starting with #1 and ending with #454. While you don't have to read that story from the beginning, it certainly doesn't hurt.
The New Way: Our Guest Weeks began as a chance for me to take a break from the cut-and-paste grind while I collaborated with talented artists to tell short stories outside of continuity. That experiment went so well that now the Guest Weeks have taken over!! Keep a watch on the sidebar for a schedule of upcoming stories and featured artists.
(As a writer, I believe that my featured artists deserve to go before my name in the credits. Just a little FYI in case you were wondering what's up with the order of the names.)
