And now it's time for... The Many Armors of Destruct-O-Tron!

In this installment, we're gonna cover the changing colors of Destruct-O-Tron.

Our first image is from the story arc Back in Black, which is one of my personal favorites. After returning from Hell, Destruct-O-Tron decided that his armor should reflect the newfound "hopelessness in my soul." For a brief period of time, Todd became a poet and a bass player. However, Mind's Eye hated the new Eee-Mo-Tron and she found a way to get him back into his original armor.

Our second Destruct-O-Tron features more than just a color change. See, in Super Haters #215, Mind's Eye made a little mistakey-poo and sent the Haters to a different dimension. While attempting to escape that alternate reality, Nilufa landed the Haters in another different dimension in Super Haters #223... the real world. Real Destruct-O-Tron started out orange, but it wasn't long before he decided to run for political office. To bolster his campaign, he painted his armor red, white, and blue in Super Haters #227.

Obviously that change didn't last for too long because by Super Haters #243, Destruct-O-Tron had a new evil outlook and some new duds. Draped in the classic supervillain shades of purple and green, Todd went out and attempted to recruit henchmen for his new evil organization. But his efforts failed miserably and he was back in his orange armor by Super Haters #254.

Now, as you can see, our final two images don't showcase color changes of armor... but they're color changes nonetheless!!! I sorta messed up the order -- the fifth image should really be in the fourth spot because that's Todd Purvee's everyday look. However, when the Haters went on vacation, Mind's Eye flubbed a sunblock spell and turned Todd white, as you can see in our fourth image.

Expecting him to be incensed and outraged, Mind's Eye was shocked to find that Todd was okay with the change. In fact, Todd embraced his turn from black to white with a bit too much vigor. He was so into it that he wouldn't let Mind's Eye change him back. But magic soon won out and it wasn't long before the partners were on a plane back home.

And that ends today's look back at Destruct-O-Tron's changing colors! Before I go, I'd like to leave you with a couple of links. First off, I shared a very special Super Haters announcement on yesterday's A Podcast with Ross and Nick #118. If you're enjoying this Many Armors series, then I definitely think you'll be excited by my announcement. Also, I posted the entire 24-page Act III of my Stick Cats comic last night. Check it out on Facebook and lemme know what you think!

See you tomorrow for the final installment of this series... The Many Armors of Destruct-O-Tron pt 4: Family and Friends.
